Baby Yoda is a force-sensitive Jedi initiate that belongs to the same species as Grand Master Yoda. The Mandalorian Din Djarin was sent to retrieve Baby Yoda to the Imperials when he was only fifty years old. But Mandalorian decided not to leave Grogu with Imperials and rescued him.
