In the amazingly popular anime One Piece the main character Monkey D Luffy wears a one straw hat. Previously, this straw hat was worn by such famous pirates as Gol D. Roger and Shanks. Now, this honor belongs to Monkey D. Luffy giving him his epithet Straw Hat Luffy and a symbol of the Straw Hat Pirates. This Straw Hat was given to Monkey D Luffy by his idol Red Hair Shanks when Luffy was a child, and he promised to give it back when he will become the Pirate King.
