Jack Skellington is also known as the Pumpkin King of the Halloween town and the main character of Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. Jack is a patron spirit of Halloween that is shown as something in between Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny within his own holiday. And as his last name suggests he is an immortal living skeleton that can remove parts of his body without harm, this was demonstrated a lot for comic relief. Jack has strong feelings for Sally and wants to surprise her and make her happy that's why he brought her flowers. Starting from being friends Sally also started to develop feelings for Jack.
