Red-Haired Shanks or simply Shanks or Red Hair is the chief of Red Hair Pirates and one of the Four Emperors that rule the New World. Shanks was sailing with the Roger Pirates since he was a little boy, beginning his pirate career on this ship with Buggy. After Roger's death, Shanks formed his own new crew on a ship. Shanks sacrificed his left arm in order to save his young friend Monkey D. Luffy. Shanks even is one of the pirates who inspired Monfey D. Luffy to become a pirate and go on his own pirate journey, he gave him Gomu Gomu no Mi to eat and his hat which became Luffy's signature accessory.
