Professor Rubeus Hagrid was an English half-giant wizard, the son of Mr. Hagrid and the giantess Fridwulfa, and a brother of the giant Grawp in the Harry Potter movie series. Rubeus Hagrid was a tall guy that stood at eleven feet and six inches. Long ago Hagrid also was a student in the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and the Sorting Hat sent him into house Gryffindor. Tom Riddle framed him for the crime of opening the Chamber of Secrets. Hagrid was expelled but was trained as the gamekeeper of Hogwarts, where he met Harry Potter and was given the task of reintroducing Harry to the wizarding world.
