Itachi Uchiha is one of the characters in the Naruto anime series and manga. Itachi was a shinobi of the Uchiha clan who served as an Anbu Captain. After murdering his entire clan sparing only his brother Sasuke he became an international criminal. After his deeds, Itachi joined Akatsuki, an international crime organization. Sasuke swore to avenge their clan and kill Itachi. But, the death of Itachi revealed that his actions were more complicated than they seemed and were made in the interest of Sasuke and the village, making him loyal shinobi of Konohagakure.
