The Hulk is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, and first appeared in the comic book The Incredible Hulk #1 in May 1962. The Hulk is the alter ego of Bruce Banner, a brilliant physicist who was exposed to a high level of gamma radiation during an experiment. The radiation transformed Banner into the Hulk, a massive green-skinned humanoid with incredible strength and rage.
