The Nimbus 2000 is a cool racing broomstick from a lineup of racing brooms produced by Nimbus Racing Broom Company in the Harry Potter books and movies. When it was produced in 1991 Nimbus 2000 was the fastest racing broom on the market. The Nimbus 2000 was the number one choice in the Quidditch pitch and outperformed all of its competitors until it was replaced by its successor Nimbus 2001. Harry Potter received the Nimbus 2000 from Professor Minerva McGonagall after he was given a spot on the Gryffindor Quidditch team as a Seeker.
