Banjo-Kazooie is a series of video games that features two titular characters a good-hearted brown bear Banjo, and a Breegul called Kazooie. The Banjo-Kazooie game series began in 1998 with its first game released on the Nintendo 64 console. The series and the characters were developed by Rare and published by Nintendo. In the game Banjo and his friend Kazooi must save Banjo's sister Tooty from the evil Gruntilda before she steals her beauty. The Banjo-Kazooie game was such a success that a sequel called Banjo-Tooie soon followed, released in 2000.
