The Poltergust 3000 is a bright red vacuum that was invented by an old man Professor E. Gadd that is used by Luigi in the Luigi's Mansion game and in other games like Mario Party. The Poltergust device is worn together with a vacuum, a nozzle, and a flashlight and it's used to hunt down ghosts and capture simple ghosts such as Boos. Luigi can stun ghosts with a flashlight prior to capturing them with a vacuum. While being stunned with a flashlight ghosts have a chance to get sucked away.
