On February 20th, 2017, YouTuber Gregzilla was reviewing a Sonic Lost World platformer game and included in his YouTube video a parody animation of the character Knuckles that was used by DeviantArtist tidiestflyer to create a 3D model of a Ugandan Knuckles based on Gregzilla's animation. The Ugandan Knuckles Meme was later caught on by YouTuber Stahlsby who created a video You Do Not Know the Way that included a swarm of VRChat players with a Ugandan Knuckles avatar trolling other players.
