A squid called Blooper is a recurring squid-like enemy found in many Mario games by Nintendo. In the Mario Kart game series, Bloopers are used as power-up items. When used, a Blooper flies forward and sprays in on all players in front of the one who used it, obscuring their view and making it harder for them to navigate the Mario Kart track and see the oncoming hazards on the road for a few seconds.
