How to Update the Extension
Keeping Custom Progress Bar For YouTube up to date ensures you have the latest features, bug fixes, and improvements. This guide explains how updates work and how to manually update if needed.
Automatic Updates
By default, Custom Progress Bar updates automatically through Chrome Web Store or Microsoft Edge Add-ons:
- Extensions update automatically when new versions are released by the developer.
- Updates usually happen in the background without requiring any action from you.
- You may need to reload the extension or restart your browser after an update for changes to take effect.
Manual Update
If automatic updates aren't working or you want to force an update, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open Extensions Page
Go to chrome://extensions/ (for Chrome) or edge://extensions/ (for Edge). Make sure 'Developer mode' is enabled in the top right corner.
Step 2: Check for Updates
Click the 'Update' button at the top of the extensions page, or visit the Chrome Web Store or Edge Add-ons page and click 'Update' if available.
Step 3: Reload Extension
After updating, click the reload icon (circular arrow) next to Custom Progress Bar to apply the update. Refresh any open YouTube tabs.
